2. Other personal uses
CSV files saved with Data Tool are not exclusive to Chart Playback. Within the scope of personal, non-commercial, and non-business use by individuals for themselves, they may be used for analysis, decision-making practice, research, or record keeping.
For example, you may use them to:
- Review and organize dates and prices in spreadsheet software.
- Perform personal analysis or visualization in a Python-based or other analysis environment you prepare.
- Import data into analysis or backtesting tools that support CSV input.
- Keep historical data for your own research and records.
External tools may require different columns, date formats, encodings, or other details. A Data Tool CSV may therefore require adjustment before it can be imported.
Chart Playback does not assure compatibility or operation with third-party tools.
Check price data before using it
Data-source changes, market closures, instrument-information changes, and other factors can result in missing data or content different from what you expect.
- Check that the intended instrument or financial product is represented.
- Check that the required date range is included.
- Check dates and prices for unexpected values.
- Check for missing or duplicate data.
- Compare with other information sources when necessary.
Chart Playback and Chart Playback Data Tool do not provide investment advice, trading recommendations, forecasts of future price movements, or guarantees of profits.
